ONGOING
The Youth Acting Collective is an ongoing virtual community for young actors to play and work!
Become a member to get access to weekly “Youth Heidi Hour,” which are virtual opportunities to circle up with Heidi and your fellow artists to keep your acting muscles sharp and stay in process. Replays available! Every quarter, we offer bonus events such as Parents Q&A, Creating Your Own Work, and an industry Guest Workshop to expand your understanding of how empowered you can be.
With membership, you get drop-in access to:
This community is for young actors aged 8 through 17 who are professionally auditioning.
Actors who have worked with us before are invited to join right away.
Actors who are new to us are invited to submit an application and can join once their application is accepted. Actors should be professionally auditioning before they submit their application.
I am being very intentional about who I bring into our community. Members are young actors who are preapproved by the studio and are professionally auditioning.
Apply here. We’ll review the application and contact you with our decision.
We’re excited to meet new faces!
A group of fellow actors who cheer for your artistry and natural talent!
Our community is solidly grounded in Heidi’s principles that have served as the foundation of her studio for years. Her valuable experience and insight have inspired countless actors at all stages of their careers. Heidi and her team of teaching artists are highly sought out by top agents, managers, and casting offices, including CAA, Carmen Cuba Casting, Telsey + Co., ICM, Paradigm, Warner Bros, and Disney.
We rotate through various days/times so that folks in different time zones can tune in. Once you join, you’ll have access to the event lists and optional RSVP + calendar reminders. Events are added continuously. You can choose which events to attend, or watch any available replays.
Here’s a sample of scheduling:
*All events and schedules are subject to change since our teaching artists are actively working in the industry.*
Heidi’s weekly group coaching is open to all members to join live or watch by replay! Actors will be guided on what material to prepare and should be ready to play and flex their acting muscles through guided exercises!
Johnny Sanchez—actor, writer, and producer—leads these sessions. He started acting at age 11 when he first heard an announcement on a radio station for an acting class. He said, “Mom, that’s what I want to do.” Thankfully, his mother—who didn’t speak much English at the time and knew even less about acting—said yes and took him to acting classes. He has spent decades as a working actor on all size screens, all size roles. He loves to talk straight with youth about navigating the work of being an actor. He also has empowered his own career by writing and producing films, and he finds great joy in helping other actors find their own creativity in their work. Johnny is a regular acting coach and creators coach in the Acting Collective and Heidi Marshall Studio.
Membership is quarterly (every 3 months) in order to build a stable community. You may cancel at any break between quarters before your renewal date.

She’s coached countless actors into roles for Film, TV, and Theater. Most recently, she coached and prepped Halle Bailey for her audition and screen test for Disney’s upcoming The Little Mermaid. We can confirm that she’s gotten the most practice skills and knowledge from all of your classes both in person and virtual. I believe this is because:
1) The quality of what you are teaching is superb
2) You have the ability to connect with young talent in a supportive and genuine way
3) Your classes are both flexible yet also comprehensively rich in knowledge
4) Imani is surrounded by peers who are either as accomplished or MORE accomplished than herself
5) The style is organized yet customizable
6) She trusts you
She had a lot of fun, and I overheard her at the dance studio talking about you she was saying “My friend Heidi lives in America”
You are the most kind and genuine person and we are grateful to get the pleasure of working with you.
I just wanted to take the time to say that Róise’s agent raved about Róise’s performance- honestly she was blown away. Thank you for your hard work and continued support of Róise- it so wonderful to have a lovely independent space for Róise where she learns and develops so much- and not just in that session or moment- Róise (and me) are learning lifetime acting lessons and for this we feel very privileged and thankful for everyday.
Full disclosure — please note that we do not guarantee that actors in our online or in-person acting classes will be hired for any project that we might direct, produce, or cast. We teach and coach because we enjoy supporting and nurturing actors as you develop your personal process for auditioning, working and creating your own work.
