Jim DeProphetis

Hi! Welcome.

I'm a theater kid from outside of Philly and only recently realized that I grew up with a Delco accent (see: wooder, hoagie, hon, etc.) I graduated from Fordham University at Rose Hill and am now based out of Brooklyn.

I worked as an Acting Apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival under the late, great Roger Rees. With Roger, Alex Timbers, and Rick Elice, I helped develop the Broadway-bound "Peter and the Starcatcher," playing James, the youngest of the Lost Boys. I spent four seasons working featured background on "Saturday Night Live," most notably dodging the high school bullying of Bobby Moynihan, Bill Hader, and Fred Armisen in the video "The Sopranos Diaries." I'm most comfortable in the world of comedy, but I have been crying a lot more in therapy of late, so I'm working on my dramatic skills, too.

One of my favorite things to do is drink Manhattans with my husband at night while watching great TV. The next step: get cast on aforementioned great TV! Let's play.
