Karoline is an actor, writer, producer, and filmmaker. She was born in Shanghai, China and grew up in Sweden and Texas. On a full scholarship, she matriculated at Harvard College, where she dove into experimental theater and graduated cum laude with a BA in English. As an actor, she's trained extensively at Atlantic Acting School, apprenticed at Actors Theatre of Louisville and Santa Cruz Shakespeare, and performed in numerous regional houses including American Repertory Theater, Humana Festival, and Central Square Theater. Off-Broadway credits include The Hard Problem at Lincoln Center Theater and the world premiere of [Veil Widow Conspiracy] at Next Door @ NYTW, for which The New York Times singled her out as “terrific.” Screen credits include Lincoln (NBC), Evil (CBS), a music video for Softee’s hit single “Oh No,” PIPPI (short film I wrote), Kiss (Means of Production). Writing credits include VIAL (2nd round of Orchard Project Episodic Lab and Outfest Screenwriting Lab), PIPPI (in post-production), and Goon, developed at Fresh Ground Pepper; published articles with The Establishment; research and writing assistant for Race in America (Norton) and The Written World (Random House).
