Tova Hopemark

Tova Hopemark is an award-winning actor, writer, and director.

She recently played an unfiltered new mom (BABY BUMPS), a cunning religious fanatic (FROM THE FLESH), a depressed overachiever (ALRIGHT ROBOT, Winner: Best Leading Actress), and a grieving mother (HISTORY OF NOW).

Tova’s first film, a comedy about depression, won BEST SHORT OF NEW ENGLAND from The Massachusetts Independent Film Festival and BEST SCREENPLAY from the Best Shorts Competition. Her original play about queer pregnancy premiered at The Tank NYC as part of the International Human Rights Festival, co-sponsored by Amy Poehler.

Tova is an alum of Harvard University’s Mellon School of Theatre and Performance and Northwestern University’s Interdisciplinary PhD in Theatre and Drama. She lives in NYC with her husband and his well-behaved cello.
