Darby McDonough was raised in a small town outside of Chicago, IL. She grew up in a family of 6 that encouraged her to try a little bit of everything: sports, dancing, cooking classes, singing and so on. With such an adventurous upbringing as well as having 3 older brothers, her athletic nature makes her an avid lover of game-playing. Darby finished high school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in their senior year high school drama program. She stayed at UNCSA to receive her BFA in Acting and graduated with the class of 2022. During her time there, Darby was recommended by The Society of American Fight Directors in Sword and Shield. Darby is drawn to the medium of filmmaking and hopes to collaborate with friends creating new work for the rest of her life - there's nothing like the bonds that are formed through storytelling!
