Born in Turkey, Irem moved to Upstate NY, where she is currently based, when she was 3 years old and is completely fluent in Turkish and English (and holds a dual citizenship in both countries)!
Her introduction to non-Disney movies began when her cousin made her watch "Scary Movie” when she was six years old. She had nightmares for years. She realized ten years later that it was actually supposed to be a comedy. Today, horror is one of her favorite genres, and you can find examples of her acting in the horror genre (& other genres) in her studio clips!
Irem has worked privately with acting coach Athena Colón at the Heidi Marshall Studio, and is also an alumni of Heidi's film/tv acting & auditioning course. She holds an undergraduate degree in theatre & psychology from the University at Buffalo, where she was referred to as the "Meryl Streep of UB"-- once. Some of her unique skills include intermediate Spanish proficiency, singing, boxing, being a personal fitness trainer, proficiency in dental terminology, and bachata dancing.
