Here’s how our team will support you:
Have an initial Zoom consultation with Heidi Marshall. She will look over your materials, discuss your “types,” give suggestions, and identify what’s missing. This Zoom meeting will last up to 2 hours.
We will build and launch a private Vimeo or YouTube channel in your account to share with reps and CDs (password protected, if preferred). Our team will take care of all technical aspects to get the page up and running.
A member of our team will request your clips so we can begin building. If you have Film/TV clips that need downloading, we will give you resources for pulling clips from professional websites so you can gather them yourself and then share them with us.
Heidi will look through your materials and advise on which clips/photos to include on your channel. She will also oversee the design of the page, the order in which clips are organized, and the overall presentation of your work.

Several years ago, I was casting my own film to direct and was in conversations with fancy pants agents in Los Angeles. I asked the fancy pants reps to send me ideas.
I received an email with links to each actor’s online portfolio.
It was fascinating what they shared with me: it was not just a reel, but actually a collection of individual clips from professional gigs PLUS recent self-tape auditions. They created the feeling that their fancy pants clients are auditioning tons and hot hot hot. I felt like I better grab these actors fast!
Hollywood reps are quite masterful at pitching their clients so that you feel like either the clients are about to “blow up”, or they are “barely available because there’s so many offers on the table”. Really, it’s a lot of illusions being spun. It takes something to not fall for the FOMO!
But, we can learn from this way of presenting actors and apply it to how YOU pitch yourself to others. Here is what I suggest.
Share recent self-tapes in combo with your professional clips or reels.

As a director, I loved watching the actor’s self-tape clips from other projects because I felt like a fly on the wall spying on an actor’s work and process. It was really smart of the reps to flash it in front of me so that it seemed like I was getting to know the actor in a more “raw” or “intimate” fashion than just watching polished or produced professional clips. It actually made me feel like I was “discovering” the talent. In fact, when I did meet some of those actors, I didn’t even need to seem them do formal auditions – I already seen their range! I actually recall we just sat and read some scenes together. That’s it!
This has always stuck with me.
